The 978 Dancehall community is mourning the tragic death of a singer, reggae dancehall artist, and Lawrence, MA resident who was tragically killed in an altercation this week. American Dancehall Artist Aquiles Espinosa also known by the stage name Nawlage2k5 passed away in a deadly knife attack on Friday.
According to law enforcement agencies, a 35-year-old man died in a fatal stabbing incident that happened in Boston, MA. Edward Dynasty released a sorrowful tribute to the beloved father, on Facebook: “I’m crying as I write this. We shared a lot of good times together performing live you and me holding Dancehall down for 15 years. I can’t believe you’re gone my brother. I will always love you and cherish you. I appreciate everything that you’ve done you will always have a special place in my heart, I was just actually going to call you to let you know that you have a song that I love and wanted to take a piece of the hook so I could do a Reggaeton song inspired by you. God bless your soul. Rest in peace king! @therealnawlage.”

Aquiles Espinosa (born December 25, 1988), also known as Nawlage (meaning “knowledge”), is an American recording artist and producer. He grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and first became known for his performances at local New England events. He is well known for his 2006 hit “Husband or Wife” (remixed and re-released in 2012 with French Montana).
