Jennalea Hill, a beloved head veterinary technician and college instructor, tragically lost her life in a single-car rollover accident on November 1, 2024.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m., after which she was airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas. Despite prompt medical attention, Jennalea sadly passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital, leaving her community, family, friends, and colleagues in deep mourning.
Jennalea dedicated her life to the care of animals and the education of future veterinary professionals. A graduate of Palo Alto College’s Veterinary Technology program in 2009, she not only excelled in her studies but also went on to inspire countless students as an instructor at the same institution.
Her commitment to her students and the veterinary field was evident in every class she taught and every animal she cared for. Known for her extensive knowledge, compassionate approach, and infectious passion, Jennalea impacted the lives of students, colleagues, and pet owners alike.
Jennalea’s journey began in Pleasanton, Texas, where she was born and raised, before moving to Loire, Texas. Her close-knit community in Loire and Pleasanton admired her for her unwavering kindness and dedication.
She was cherished by her family, friends, and colleagues for her warmth, humor, and steadfast commitment to her profession. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Family and friends will gather to honor Jennalea’s memory, starting with a visitation on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home.
