Eusebio Solis, the athletic director at Cocoa High School, died on Sunday at the age of 46.
In July, Solis was appointed athletic director. He had previously served as athletic director at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School and was head coach of the Tiger baseball team for two seasons prior to his promotion.
Solis worked for Brevard Public Schools for more than eighteen years. He taught Spanish for nine years, served as athletic director for nine years, and coached varsity baseball for seven years at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School.
After rebuilding the baseball program at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School, he led the team to three consecutive district championship games, two runners-up, and one district championship, which led to three consecutive trips to the regional tournament.
After achieving the first-ever achievements in school history, Solis left to take a position as athletic director at Cocoa High School.
