Elijah Rosser Dahlonega GA Death, Obituary: Cadet Elijah Chase “Eli” Rosser, University of North Georgia Dahlonega Student Dies By Suicide

Elijah Chase “Eli” Rosser, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Dahlonega, GA, at the age of 20.

Born on April 25, 2004, Eli was the son of Amy and Sean Maher, and the late Michael Jeremy Rosser. Known for his warmth, ambition, and dedication, Eli was a remarkable young man who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Eli was a junior at the University of North Georgia, where he studied international affairs and political science. A dedicated student, he was actively involved in the ROTC program and a proud member of the Boar’s Head Brigade.

Eli thrived in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and served as part of the Color Guard, where he displayed his leadership and commitment.

In addition to his military involvement, he served as an orientation leader, guiding and supporting new students in their transition to campus life. His passion for his studies and his drive to serve his country were qualities admired by both his peers and professors.

Eli’s faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a dedicated member of The Pointe Church. His faith community and close friendships offered him strength and support, as did his family, whom he cherished deeply.

Eli is survived by his loving parents, Amy and Sean Maher; his brothers, Noah (Kelsey), Zachary, and Greyson Rosser; his sister, Lexy Maher; his cherished girlfriend, Holly Wesley; his niece, Everlee Rosser; and many extended family members, including his maternal grandparents, Doris Holbrooks and the late Mike Jordan, and Edward and Wanda Holbrooks, as well as his paternal grandparents, Karen and Mike Williams, Dale and Debbie Rosser, and Barry and Sandra Maher.

A visitation for friends and family will be held at the mortuary on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2 pm at The Pointe Church, with Zachary Rosser and Spence Fuller officiating.
