Dustin E. Pfenning Death, Obituary: Beaverton resident identified as victim in fatal MAX train accident in North Portland

Dustin E. Pfenning, a 45-year-old resident of Beaverton, was identified as the victim who died in a collision with a MAX Yellow Line train in North Portland on Friday, November 1.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of North Interstate Avenue, within Portland’s Outlook neighborhood. Emergency responders from the Portland Police Bureau arrived on the scene, where Pfenning was pronounced dead.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is currently investigating the incident to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash. They are working to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses to understand what happened.
