Debbie A. Baltes Death, Obituary Rensselaer, Indiana – Debbie A. Baltes, a cherished resident of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024, at the age of 63. She died at Great Lakes Healthcare Center in Dyer, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love cherished by her family, friends, and colleagues. Born on November 30, 1960, in Brook, Indiana, Debbie was the daughter of Donald J. and Charlene (Bramble) Miller. She grew up in Rensselaer and graduated from Rensselaer Central High School, establishing deep roots in the community she loved.

For 45 years, she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager at Smith Farm Store in Rensselaer, earning the respect and admiration of her coworkers and customers for her unwavering work ethic and kindness. Outside of her professional life, Debbie enjoyed spending her time on creative and fulfilling activities. She was passionate about craft projects and loved exploring flea markets, always on the lookout for unique treasures. Her green thumb was evident in the care she devoted to her flower beds, which she tended to with pride.

On May 15, 1992, Debbie married Tony Baltes, who survives her. Together, they built a life full of love and shared memories. She is also survived by her daughter, Nicole (Scott) Cook, and her two beloved grandchildren, Jeffry T. Cook and Ruby A. Cook, who were the light of her life. Her family also includes her sister-in-law, Terri; her nephew, Steve (Jill) Miller; and her nieces, Melissa (Chris) New and Jennifer Becker. The sudden loss of Debbie Baltes has left a deep void in the Rensselaer community. Friends and loved ones are remembering her warm and caring nature, along with the dedication she showed in every aspect of her life.
