Stacey died at Lawrence Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to family, faith, and service to his community. Born on April 6, 1971, to John and Sandra Lee Cross, Stacey spent his entire life in Moulton. He graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1989 and continued his education at Athens State University.

His connection to the community deepened through the family business. Since 1995, Stacey worked alongside his parents, running John’s Bar-B-Que, a well-loved local establishment. The restaurant became a gathering spot for friends and neighbors, where Stacey’s welcoming presence left a lasting impact. Visitation for Stacey Cross will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Randy Copeland, Austin Dutton, and Jim Fiscus, with Lawrence Funeral Home overseeing arrangements. The sudden loss of Stacey Cross has left a significant void in the hearts of many who knew him.
