Stacey died at Lawrence Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to family, faith, and service to his community. Born on April 6, 1971, to John and Sandra Lee Cross, Stacey spent his entire life in Moulton. He graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1989 and continued his education at Athens State University.
His connection to the community deepened through the family business. Since 1995, Stacey worked alongside his parents, running John’s Bar-B-Que, a well-loved local establishment. The restaurant became a gathering spot for friends and neighbors, where Stacey’s welcoming presence left a lasting impact. Stacey was also a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he actively participated in church activities and supported his fellow congregants. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he found joy in being a part of the church community.
Visitation for Stacey Cross will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro.
